In august 2018 I was in John Fawkner Hospital with left foot infections and the ward docter Dr Fisher was feeding me various antibiotics trying to find one to stop the infections when Bernard Allard visited me and told me about the foot xray and that every bone in the left foot had a block spot in it like the 4th toe of the right foot before it was removed and stopped all the infections in the right foot. I immediately said “cut it off”’ The next morning Dr Allard operated and removed the foot. I was awake but sedated talking to the nurse monitoting my pulse etc. Then followed 3 months of wheelchair use till november with taxi tripts to Rehab in Royal Park CTS centre and then 4 months Tuesdays and Thursdays mostly very nice people. They took a plaster cast of the stump and created a plastic sleeve and then a steel prosthetic using my left shoe. Josh now looks after the prosthetic with just a yearly visit to CTS.
